Green Tea Benefits

    Magic or Hype?

Is it all hype or is it really true that there are powerful green tea benefits? I suppose that if just making a simple lifestyle change could improve my
health and help slow down the aging process, why not try it? I could tolerate being a little more healthy and I certainly wouldn't mind looking younger, who wouldn't?

However, I’m a skeptic, plus I’m pretty fanatical about investigating things before buying. How could something as simple as green tea provide the remarkable benefits that you hear about?

So I began to research the green tea benefits.

Since ancient times, consumption of green tea has been associated with a number of pretty remarkable health benefits. The Chinese, in fact, have known about the green tea benefits for many years, using it to treat everything from headaches to depression. Is there a magic ingredient?

The secret of the green tea benefits is the catechin polyphenols, particularly ECCG, which is a powerful antioxidant. The antioxidants inhibit the growth of cancer cells and kill the cancer cells without harming healthy tissue. Since the mere thought of cancer scares the living daylight out of me, I probed further.

There has been a tremendous amount of scientific and research studies that have determined a long list of additional green tea benefits which include:

WEIGHT LOSS
The polyphenols help the body stimulate the metabolism to help burn fat and prevent the body from storing more fat. It also aids in reducing the appetite

AGING
Studies have shown that the catechin ingredient is a strong antioxidant. Consumption of antioxidants promise a longer life

SKIN
Combined with sunscreen, it aids in reducing damages caused by the sun. It also aids in reducing inflammation of the skin

HEART AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE
Green Tea reduces triglycerides which are strongly associated with heart disease. Another one of the green tea benefits is it inhibits the formation of blood clots; the leading cause of heart attacks and strokes

CANCER
The antioxidants in it reduce the risk of some cancers by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells

BREATH
It helps maintain fresh breath by decreasing the growth of odor-causing bacteria.  Another one of the green tea benefits is it contains fluoride which helps prevent cavities.

CHOLESTEROL
It lowers total cholesterol levels as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol.

ENERGY
It stimulates every organ in the body and clears a dull mind. The caffeine in it also provides an energy boost.  Lose 10 pounds in 6 days! Join millions of happy dieters today!

DIABETES
Slows down the rise in the blood sugar level following a meal and helps regulate the insulin level.

Well, if green tea provides all of these benefits, I guess I can add it to my routine, why not?
